Jacobus (Kosie) Taljaard
Founder & Lead Engineer
Kosie Taljaard is the CEO and Founder of TI Group, and the lead engineer heading up the Taljaard Industrial Prototype Design (TIPD) division. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics and a career that began in 2009, Kosie brings over a decade of real-world experience in industrial automation, system integration, and breakdown maintenance.
His engineering journey started well before his formal training; growing up watching and assisting his father laid the foundation for a hands-on, solutions-driven approach that defines TI Group’s work today.
Kosie is known for his patience, precision, and strong leadership. He thrives on the ever-changing challenges that the job brings, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, detail-oriented results. For him, no two days are the same and each project is an opportunity to innovate, improve, and push the boundaries of engineering excellence.
Gerhard (Gert) van der Westhuizen
HVAC Technician
Gert van der Westhuizen is a skilled HVAC technician at TI Group, bringing over a decade of experience to the team. Since beginning his career in 2010, Gert has earned his NQF Level 4 Red Seal in HVAC as well as his SARACCA certification, equipping him with the qualifications to handle both residential and industrial systems with confidence.
Known for his precision and problem-solving mindset, Gert is dedicated to delivering efficient, high-quality HVAC solutions that stand the test of time. His attention to detail and accuracy are core to his work, ensuring each installation and service meets the highest standards.
